Effective from 30 July 2026. This date belongs to the policy text on this page and to nothing else on the site; it says when these words were published, not when any menu or venue entry was looked at.

This page explains how information related to the use of Menuvero may be collected, used and stored. It is written to be read rather than filed, so it keeps to ordinary language and avoids describing arrangements that do not exist.

It applies to people who visit this website and to the features described on it, including the published email address used for messages about entries. It does not govern the venues whose menus and details appear here; each of those places handles its own information under its own terms, and a link out of an entry takes you somewhere with its own rules.

Using the site means acknowledging what is set out here. Because this text can change, it is worth glancing at again from time to time - the section at the end explains how a change would be signalled.

Some information reaches us because you chose to send it. If you write to the published address about an entry - a price that has moved, a menu that has changed, a claim over a venue you run - then your message, the address it came from, and whatever you decided to include in it are held so the note can be read and acted on.

Other information arrives on its own, in the way it does for any website. Technical logs may record things such as a general request for a page, the kind of device or browser that asked for it, and broad patterns of use across the site. This is described qualitatively on purpose: naming particular technologies or providers here would fix in writing an arrangement that may not stay fixed, and a policy that has drifted out of date is worse than one that stayed general.

Menuvero does not ask readers for sensitive personal information, and there is no field anywhere on this site that invites it. Please do not send health details, identification documents, payment card numbers or anything similar to the published address or through any other general channel - none of it is needed to correct an entry, and a message about a menu is not the place for it.

The purposes behind the data

Information may be used to operate, maintain and improve this website and the features described on it: keeping pages available, understanding what is failing when something fails, and making the site work better than it did.

Messages sent to Menuvero are used for the thing they were sent for. That means reading what has been reported, comparing it with public material about the venue, correcting or removing what turns out to be out of step, replying where a reply is warranted, and keeping a record of the exchange so a later message about the same entry makes sense in context.

Information may also be looked at in aggregate or de-identified form to understand how the site is used in general - which pages are read, where readers give up, whether a route through the site works. Used that way it describes patterns rather than people, and it is not turned back into a picture of any individual reader.

Handing details to someone else

Information may be shared with service providers who help operate the website - the sort of ordinary support any site depends on, such as hosting, delivery of pages, and handling of email. Where that happens, those providers are expected to handle what they hold appropriately and to use it for the purpose it was given to them.

Information may also be shared where required by law, regulation, legal process or a governmental request, and where it is reasonably necessary to protect rights, property or safety. These are the exceptional cases rather than the normal course of things, and they are listed because leaving them out would make this page tidier than it is honest.

Menuvero does not sell personal information to third parties. There is no business here built on passing readers on, and no arrangement under which a reader's details become something to trade.

Your choices and policy changes

The plainest choice is the one you already have: you can decide not to send anything. Nothing on this site requires you to write, and the directory reads exactly the same whether you do or not. The trade-off is simple - if you do not write, there is nothing to reply to, and a mismatch you noticed cannot be looked at.

Beyond that, a good deal of what is collected automatically sits under controls that belong to you rather than to us. Browsers and devices offer settings for cookies, storage and tracking preferences, and those settings apply here as they do anywhere else. Adjusting them may change how parts of the site behave, which is a normal consequence rather than a penalty.

This policy may be updated from time to time. When it is, the revised version is posted on this page with an updated effective date at the top, so the date and the text you are reading always belong together. Material changes will be reflected in the wording itself rather than tucked into a note elsewhere.
